The Leadhills Community Council exists to represent everyone in the community. Impartially and to the best of their ability. We strive to uphold good communication, accountability and inclusivity. We are more than happy to represent residents in their dealings with South Lanarkshire Council and/or with the Holyrood or Westminster Government.
There is a local shop in Leadhills which has a great variety of everyday and other items including firewood logs/kindling. There is a working telephone box opposite the Hopetoun Arms Hotel. We have two defibrillators in the village. Royal Bank of Scotland mobile banking visits opposite the Hopetoun Arms on a Tuesday. The nearest Post Office is situated in Abington where services are nearby also.
